Not Yo Mama's Affairs Craft Fair

4/1/2012 @ LITM…April Fools’ Fair

Author: ; Published: Jan 23, 2012; Category: Uncategorized; Tags: None; 2 Comments

Our very first fair was on March 28, 2009 at LITM in downtown Jersey City.
We put it together in a matter of weeks – with the help of some really talented vendors – and were thrilled with the support from the community for the whole affair.  It inspired us to throw ourselves into regularly planning events that would pay it forward by donating a portion of the proceeds to local, creative non-profits.

Well, 3 years later… we’re still going strong and getting busier by the minute!
But shame on us if we were to forget where it all started.
SO… come join us at LITM on Sunday, April 1st 2012 from 11am -5pm for ALL sorts of hand-crafted goodness (cocktails, cloches, hand-painted critters…what? whaaat?!?)

Want to be a vendor at this event? Great! Email us at notyomamajc@gmail.com for an application.
Deadline to apply is March 2nd, 2012. Download application»

Cold noses, warm smiles

Thanks to all the vendors and supporters who came out to Van Vorst this past Saturday. It was a brisk day, to say the least, but we couldn’t help feeling warm and fuzzy looking at vendors’ merchandise and checking out the festive gear peeps in the park were sporting (it’s the only time of year a grown man can wear an elf hat and not draw concern).

We’re taking a few weeks to draw up a 2012 master plan. 2012 is going to be a doozy, so make sure you eat your vegetables & stay well-rested; You’re going to want to stay sharp as a thumbtack to keep up on all the fun we’ve got in store!

Fourth St Fall Fair Line-up

Author: ; Published: Sep 18, 2011; Category: Uncategorized; Tags: None; Be the first to comment!

It seems as if those dog days of summer stopped chasing their tails and took off like a shot, in hot pursuit of those squirrels storing their nuts for winter.
In other words, what the heck happened? The temperature just dropped – like a rock – and Fall has descended upon us.

Fall means a lot of things to many different folks.
For Not Yo Mama, it means the clatter of tables and chairs being unfolded, the muttering of silent prayers as 10×10 tents are set up and the crisp smell of vendors’ fresh goods hanging on the breeze during the Jersey City Artists’ Studio Tour.

Come on out to 4th Street Saturday October 1st to join in the fun! The entire festival goes on from 12pm to 10pm and NYM will have some of our favorite vendors on hand to bring you the very best in handmade goodness… We only wish we could fit everyone into this space because we loved something about all of those who applied and it’s never an easy decision to pick and choose. You’ll see. We dare you to pretend you’re not tempted to take home a wheel-barrow’s worth of goodies…

Our vendors this fest are (in no particular order) : JC Tattoo, Designs for Elle, Kudu-lah Kritters, Gallery Aferro, Studio Llama Llama, Lily Luna Beads, Rogue Radish, Bright Lights Little City, Great Bowls Afire, Playground Rockstar, It’s a Stitch, Ellis Designs, Nhi Art, Miss Millie & Dahling Accessories, House of Minerva, Rubella & Kanibal Home, Greenpologie, MetalCloth&Wood, Cheeseboy, Fair and Green Wooden Toys, Fluffy Goodness, Baby Clay, In a Stitch Designs & Pinnington Bags, Damaged Wear and Birdbrain Projects.
